Clayton Miller, Lawyer

Clayton grew up in Kelowna, BC. He loves nature and has a competitive streak that led to a successful career competing in the sport of Olympic Skeet Shooting. Highlights of his sports career include competing at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, winning gold at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, and winning bronze medals at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg.

Clayton is a natural teacher who worked in the public school system before pursuing a career in law. Today, he combines his loves of advocacy and teaching to provide clients with both unparalleled counsel and a deeper understanding of the legal process

“While teaching I realized that I was really an advocate at heart and that the practice of law was a career I was suited to,” he says. “Today, although I no longer have students, I am still a teacher who strives to educate my clients about their rights and responsibilities under the law.”

Aurora Johannson, Mediator, Lawyer

A teacher with a broad range of experiences, Aurora taught in many subjects and situations from Creative Writing in Surrey’s inner city to Fine Art in a one-room schoolhouse in rural Saskatoon. She loved the variety and the vitality of her students. Aurora is also a civil mediator keen on helping parties to form their own solutions out of court, solutions that will account for their interests and help them progress smoothly in future.

“I turned to the law because although I loved teaching, I realized that what I really wanted was to connect with people in need of help and to advocate on their behalf,” Aurora says. “Today, I prefer to practice in family and estate law, helping people plan for their futures and navigate the court system.”

Aurora grew up in Vancouver where she enjoyed hiking in the rainforest, swimming in the Pacific Ocean, and soaking up the city’s rich culture. She has been a Kelowna resident since 2006.
